Corporate History
The CLR Group was founded in 1996. The owners, Tom Crawford, Joe LaBenne and Ken Reiff had an idea and plan for providing a core expertise of talent to government customers providing Telecommunications Design, Planning and Installation; Computer Systems Integration; Technical Services and Maintenance; Project Management; and Staff Training. The talent ranged from communications systems design and analysis to installation services, completed to high standards. Included in this was a significant ability to manage systems from a life-cycle perspective, thus covering all aspects of an acquisition program. Formed from a core group of retired and ex-military personnel, CLR offered a complete understanding of “comm” from cradle to grave.
Initially, CLR Group focused on government customers in the military and federal environments. Completing work for several Air Force units and NASA, CLR quickly built a reputation for matching personnel to tasks to achieve outstanding results. The company still maintains this capability as a core strength and ensures every project receives the same dedication from the company as a whole.
As the company gained a solid foothold in the government market, they implemented a plan to expand into the local commercial market. This plan called for expanding the offering and tailoring needs to a specific market in the St Louis Metro area. With this, CLR has focused on providing high quality services to local governments, universities and small to medium sized businesses. Throughout, the company’s commitment to quality has provided the basis for their success.
Today, CLR is stronger than ever. The list of clients both Government and Commercial continues to grow, backed by extensive, broad experience and expertise. At all levels, the company proudly provides those we serve with the quality results they expect.
